Recently more women have been asking me how the **** they're supposed to get a workout in routinely. Dedicating 30 minutes 3 times a week is actually not realistic for some people in certain seasons of their life, and I get it!

A surgeon with 3 kids who travels for work a few times a month. A single mom with 2 kids, 2 jobs, and 0 nannies.

Enough said.

Here's the thing – I know how easy it is to think "Well, if I can't do the whole workout, it's not worth it – I'll just do it tomorrow."

I have those same thoughts sometimes.

But no. Just, no.

10 minutes counts. 5 minutes counts! One set counts. Doing something keeps the momentum going.

It reinforces your identity as a woman who takes care of her body and prioritizes her health.

And those little efforts add up to so much more than the perfect workout that keeps getting pushed off.

So if today your kid is home sick from school or your boss is keeping you late or…. you got a flat tire or… one of countless other potential excuses to not do the thing…

Just lower the freaking bar.

Do push-ups to failure while you're hiding from your kids in the bathroom. Do a set of bodyweight squats while watching Netflix.

Swap the dedicated workout for a nice long walk around the neighborhood with your family after dinner. Extra points for post-meal glucose clearance!

Something is better than nothing. Anything is better than nothing.

Consistency isn't about perfect workouts every time. No one does that.

It's about doing the best you can as often as you can – whatever that looks like.

Now go get it!
